October 29, 2024Description: Two-part series to demonstrate teaming and process: examining data to include in ETR, use of data to develop IEP goals, and designing SDI, all of which aligns with the Science of Reading to improve outcomes for students.
Objectives:
Session 1: Data Sources and ETR
- Use of literacy screening and diagnostic data
- Teaming and processes for data analysis
- Decision rules for literacy intervention
- Eligibility determination
Session 2: IEP Goals & SDI Aligned with Science of Reading
- Data to be included in Profile and Present Levels of Performance
- Consideration of reader profiles and Simple View of Reading
- How to write effective IEP goals aligned with Science of Reading
- Designing SDI rooted evidence-based practices
- Accommodations and modifications
- Selecting progress monitoring aligned with IEP goals and evidence-based practices
