    • To more fully understand the meaning and implications around students taking the Alternate Assessment.
    • To more fully understand the Decision-Making Tool and FAQ document.
    • To apply new information in deciding a student's eligibility to take the Alternate Assessment.
    • To investigate resources to support All of our Leaners.

    Participants will be provided with a high leverage overview of critical issues from the Ohio Department of Education, Office for Exceptional Children necessary to assist with building capacity to meet the diverse needs of ALL students.

    Objectives:

    • Review critical updates from ODE/OEC -Early Childhood, Family & Community Engagement, Graduation & Post-Secondary Transition, PBIS, etc.
    • Review critical Literacy and Dyslexia updates
    • Understand current Due Process trends and issues
    • Refresh understanding of parentally placed students and Ohio’s scholarship programs

    • Navigate the new EVAAS website and view Value Added and diagnostic reports
    • Navigate the public EVAAS website and view comparative scatterplots
    • Interpret Value Added and diagnostic district, building, and teacher reports to inform instructional practices and decision making
    • Explain expected growth and why EVAAS uses it

    Recommended Audience: 

    • Superintendents, curriculum leaders, principals, counselors, instructional coaches, teachers leaders, and teachers.
