Description: This virtual session will provide information to ensure systems are in place to allow districts/community schools to meet their child find 60-day evaluation timelines and Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) obligations.
Objectives:
- Review Self Review Summary Report (SRSR) timelines, due dates, and required actions.
- Review Improvement Plan (IP) timelines, due dates, and required actions.
- Identify essential components of child find and timely evaluations.
- Discuss strategies necessary to ensure districts/community schools meet their Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) obligations.
Recommended Audience: District and building level administrators, school sponsors, special education directors and/or supervisors, general educators/department heads, related service providers (school psychologist, speech language pathologists, others as applicable), etc.
