Internal Monitoring

Description: The purpose of this two-part training series is to teach District/Community Schools how to develop an internal monitoring system to help support their efforts in implementing IDEA.

Objectives:

  • Participants will undergo a high leverage overview of OEC’s IDEA Monitoring Process.
  • Participants will learn how to review and audit students’ special education files.
  • Participants will build their capacity around “inter-rater” reliability.
  • Participants will engage in an internal monitoring community of practice with colleagues.

Event Location: Virtual.  Zoom Link will be on registration confirmation

Other Information: Participants will need to bring a copy of a special education student file, inclusive of ETR/IEP, & required forms (PR01, consent, planning, etc.).
