    The group will:

    1. collectively read and interpret their data,
    2. discuss patterns and trends, and
    3. engage in collegial discourse to determine potential next steps.

    Technical Assistance for Disproportionality Indicator Training – Identification (9/10), Placement, and Discipline

    Description:

    This training is a Technical Assistant PD for those districts and community schools who did not attend the required professional development training for districts and community schools who have been identified as being disproportionate on their Special Education Profiles.

    Please note this training is open to any district, school, team, or person who wants to build capacity in understanding integrated systems frameworks of support that can help to reduce disproportionality in special education.

    Objectives:

    • Provide a high leverage review of training materials on how the implementation of an integrated systems framework of prevention & intervention can assist with advancing equitable educational practices that can help to reduce the disproportionate identification, placement, and discipline of students with disabilities.
    • This session will incorporate some essential components from the Advancing Equity Through and MTSS Framework Professional Development Series.
    • Explore strategies for improving existing policies, practices and procedures

    Recommended Audience:

    • Any district or community school who have received a required action for disproportionality must attend.
    • Others welcomed to attend include:
    • District Leadership Teams
    • Building Leadership Teams
    • Curriculum Directors
    • Building Administrators
    • Special Education Directors
    • Literacy and PBIS Leaders
    • Related Services Providers/School Psychologists/Counselors

    This is an opportunity to network with other educators implementing PBIS in the schools.

    • In this series, participants will:
    • Learn about updates, tools and resources
    • Network with and learn from other PBIS coaches and administrators by sharing challenges and successes in implementing Tier 1 PBIS.
    • To gain deeper knowledge and understanding of specific topics related to Tier 1.
