    Our presenter is a 16-year veteran high school administrator with a record of graduation rate improvement in multiple settings.

    Communities and online learning have provided parents and professionals the platform to collaborate and learn from each other.

    Join us for a UNIQUELY HUMAN book study that will last over 5 sessions meeting once during the months of October, November, February, March, and April.

    Adolescent Literacy for School Leaders-3 part series

    Adolescent Literacy for School Leaders is a three-part workshop designed for school leaders who want to develop a school wide literacy program at the secondary level.  This workshop will look  at the obstacles to teaching literacy at the secondary level, and discuss ways to have a building wide focus on literacy across academic disciplines and grade levels.

    Topics Covered:
    The K-12 Literacy Context
    Ohio's Plan to Raise Literacy Achievement
    The Foundations of Adolescent Literacy
    Conducting a Literacy Audit
    Scheduling Time for Literacy Instruction
    Selecting Professional Development for Staff
    Designing Tier III Reading Supports

    The workshop will help school leaders consider how to construct and how to monitor school wide reading programs.  The workshop will also place adolescent literacy into a context of k-12 literacy and Ohio's plan to raise literacy achievement.

    OCALI and SST13 will be providing training intended for preschool personnel working with young students identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  The 3-day institute includes training on a variety of topics associated with understanding the diverse needs of young children with ASD.

    Training format:  Three day institute with final three days TBA

    There will be a three day training on Fridays and a three day training on Mondays.

    Friday trainings will be held March 1, 2019, March 22, 2019 & April 26, 2019

    Monday trainings will be held March 4, 2019, March 25, 2019 & April 29, 2019
