Description: This session will overview the teaming structures, data-based decision-making processes, and implementation planning involved in creating a systematic approach to Tier 2 literacy invention in your building or district.
Objectives:
- Teaming and processes for effective data analysis
- Analysis of literacy screening and diagnostic data to identify students’ specific skill gaps
- Purpose and processes for use of decision rules to guide literacy intervention assignment
- Creation of an intervention platform to support a standard-protocol approach to literacy intervention
- Systematic approach to collection and analysis of progress monitoring
- Implementation planning to guide next steps
Recommended Audience: A team of 3+ members with roles similar to the following:
- MTSS Team Member (if applicable)
- C&I Director
- Student Services Director
- Literacy Coaches
- Reading Specialists/Title 1 Reading Teachers/Literacy Intervention Teachers
- Intervention Specialists
- Principals
- School Psychologists

- Advanced Reports - public historic achievement, discipline, graduation, attendance, and staff data 2017-2023
- Centralized Reporting System - Ohio State Test & Restart Readiness data results
- PBIS Data Analysis
- Looker Studio
Objectives: Attendees will learn to access and navigate publicly available data and utilize Ohio State Test results in the Centralized Reporting System data portal. Attendees will also explore ways to find root causes while looking at data and platforms that can help transform raw data into meaningful visualizations.

September 19, 2024Description: Participants will broadly overview the components of MTSS and the steps to ensure implementation of MTSS. Participants will reflect and collaborate on how to plan for integrating these components in their school and district leadership.
*It is important to note that this half-day session is optional for attendees of our previous MTSS sessions, but is highly recommended for all participants who are new to this learning and/or planning to participate in our MTSS Sessions 2 and 3 this year*
Objectives:
- Overview of systems and structures involved in MTSS, including basic knowledge of tiered delivery systems, team-based leadership, continuous data-based decision-making, screening and assessments, and instruction and intervention supports.
- Opportunities for reflection on what participants do and do not have in place to allow planning for next steps for MTSS in their district or building.
