MTSS and the Problem-Solving Model: A 3-Part Series

Description: This professional development series builds knowledge and supports application in leadership of:

  1. Multi-Tiered System of Support and
  2. The Problem-Solving Model from a system-level and student-level perspective. ​

 

Please plan to attend all three sessions: 10/17/2023, 12/13/2023, and 3/7/2024.

Objectives:

  • Build background knowledge of MTSS and the Problem-Solving Model to apply in their school and district leadership
  • Experience and use the Problem-Solving Model as they are guided to use real data sources within an MTSS model to: Identify Problems, Analyze Problems, Plan for and Implement Instruction & Interventions, and Evaluate Progress
  • Practice data-based decision making at both the system-level and student-level
  • Share and receive knowledge and experiences from local schools and districts​
  • Access ongoing support to lead MTSS in schools and districts

Recommended Audience:

A team of 3+ members comprised of roles similar to the following:

  • MTSS Team C&I Director
  • DSS Director
  • PBIS lead
  • Principals
  • Intervention Specialists
  • Reading Specialists
  • School Psychologists
  • Coaches

The content is focused on improving systems at the district and school level. Therefore, it is highly encouraged that the team attending includes individuals who have decision-making capacity within the school or district.
