    Participants will be provided with a high leverage review of existing laws, practices and procedures in Ohio as well as explore existing state resources/tools to support work and increase compliance & outcomes for all students.

    Objectives:

    • Review critical components of FAPE, Child Find, and Delivery of Service
    • Review current updates to legal mandates, procedures, and practices
    • Walkthrough tools, resources, etc. to help build capacity

    Recommended Audience: 

    Educators in leadership roles such as:

    • Special Education Directors
    • Related Services Provides and School Psychologists
    • Building Administrators
    • General Educators and Teacher Leaders
    • It is highly encouraged that a team includes individuals who have decision-making capacity within the school or district

    Title:

    SST 13 Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS): A Series for District/Building Leadership Teams

    Description:

    This series is designed for district/building PBIS leadership teams that are new to implementing PBIS or are significantly rebuilding their PBIS system.

    *** It is expected that the Leadership Team attends all 3 sessions in the series.***

    Objectives:

    These sessions will provide PBIS leadership teams with an understanding of the essential components of Schoolwide PBIS.  Additionally, teams will be provided with examples and information to develop a plan for Tier ! PBIS implementation.

    Recommended Audience: 

    A PBIS District Team or a Building Team is required to attend.

    A PBIS District team may include: district administration, district PBIS trainers and coaches, representatives from school building, and various department coordinators (special education, curriculum and instruction, early childhood). *** Each team member must register***

    A PBIS Building Team is comprised of a broad representation of 5-10 staff members including: building/program administrator (required), general education teachers with grade level representation, intervention specialists, related service providers, special teachers, para-educators, and family members. ***Each team member must register***
