    Description:

    Participants will discuss comprehensive literacy assessment planning and systems for data analysis in districts and schools.

    Objectives:

    • Attendees will learn how to (1) create and implement comprehensive literacy assessment plans to meet needs for the range of assessment purposes, and (2) how to create systems for data analysis at the building and district level in order to more effectively inform instructional and intervention practices.

    Recommended Audience: 

    District leaders, Building leaders, Instructional coaches, Reading specialists, other school leaders

    Title:

    SST 13 Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS): A Series for District/Building Leadership Teams

    Description:

    This series is designed for district/building PBIS leadership teams that are new to implementing PBIS or are significantly rebuilding their PBIS system.

    *** It is expected that the Leadership Team attends all 3 sessions in the series.***

    Objectives:

    These sessions will provide PBIS leadership teams with an understanding of the essential components of Schoolwide PBIS.  Additionally, teams will be provided with examples and information to develop a plan for Tier ! PBIS implementation.

    Recommended Audience: 

    A PBIS District Team or a Building Team is required to attend.

    A PBIS District team may include: district administration, district PBIS trainers and coaches, representatives from school building, and various department coordinators (special education, curriculum and instruction, early childhood). *** Each team member must register***

    A PBIS Building Team is comprised of a broad representation of 5-10 staff members including: building/program administrator (required), general education teachers with grade level representation, intervention specialists, related service providers, special teachers, para-educators, and family members. ***Each team member must register***

    Preschool Literacy Leaders Network Session 2

    SST13 will be offering a 3 part virtual  literacy network for Early Childhood Literacy Leaders in SW Ohio.  The purpose of the network is to establish a community of preschool programs across the region to learn and discuss topics related to language and literacy from the leadership perspective.

    Objectives:

    • Build background knowledge of each topic
    • Share and receive knowledge and experiences from local schools and districts
    • Discuss and collaborate on essential questions to improve literacy instruction
    • Network with other literacy leaders across the region
    • Receive ongoing support to implement specific activities to lead literacy instruction in your schools

    Recommended Audience: The content is focused on improving literacy systems at the district and school level, therefore it is highly encouraged that  individuals who have decision-making capacity within the preschool program attend. The sessions are not intended for teachers.
