Adolescent Literacy Leaders Network Session #2: Managing Time for Literacy Instruction

Description:

District and school leaders will explore high leverage resources/tools and share their work regarding scheduling and ensuring time for literacy instruction across grade levels, tiers of support, and content areas.

Objectives:

• Scheduling solutions for literacy instruction across grade levels, tiers of instruction, and content areas in Gr. 7-12
• Examples and uses of building master schedules
• Examples of managing time for literacy in content areas
• Examples of structures for tiers of support for literacy.

Recommended Audience: 

Educators in leadership roles such as:

• curriculum directors
• special education directors
• building administrators
• coaches
• teacher leaders

*It is highly encouraged that a team includes individuals who have decision-making capacity within the school or district
