Ohio’s state support system includes 16 regional State Support Teams who use tools and knowledge to improve instructional practice and student outcomes by working with districts and buildings on improving systems they have in place. Our staff consists of Ohio educators who bring knowledge and experience to their work in systems change, special education, early learning and parent/family engagement. SST services are provided at no cost.
Sheri RennekerEducational Consultant
Sheri has 30 years of experience in education as a classroom teacher and as a principal in an urban school district just outside of Cincinnati. In her 18 years as the building principal, she has orchestrated the daily operation of her building, supervised the early learning initiatives and curriculum changes of the building, led her staff in the implementation of PBIS, and has been instrumental in continuing on-going opportunities for parent and family involvement within the school. She has facilitated regular data analysis with her staff within teacher-based team meetings. Sheri was recognized by the UC Economic Center as their “Principal of the Year” in 2015 for the building’s connection with the STEP Program and was chosen by her district as the “Educator of the Year” for Hamilton County’s “Celebrate Excellence Award” in 2016.
Sheri is currently working with State Support Team 13 assisting schools with the Ohio Improvement Process to improve outcomes for all students.
